I saw this new store on Etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/people/shoemakers

The silhouettes and styling are on point but I'm not 100% sure about some the leathers, some look decent and others look pretty mediocre. The price is about what I'd expect for Chinese shoes. I don't have the money to take risk on experimenting with these but I thought I'd float it to someone who might be willing.

They look incredible for shoes under $200. I wish they had them in stores, because I won't order them without trying them on.

These guys came up a few months back. The end result was someone tracking down the factory in China where they were made and overall dismissals of their quality. That being said, I want someone to buy them and tell me how they are so I don't have any risk but can reap rewards, supposing they exist.

Made in China garbage. These were tested and everything proved dissapointing. Good luck fitting into "asian" lasts.

^Those are sunglasses silly

Don't you get to specify the size? I am assuming these are custom made to your foot measurements, are they?

Not for that price. I seriously doubt they are.

Doesn't seem any more ridiculous than made-to-measure dress shirts for $35.

I hear labor's cheap in China.

If it looks too good to be true, at such a low price, it probably is.

I may try them in a month or 2 when I have a few $$$ to spare on the experiment. I will post here if I do try them.

Though I'm highly skeptical, I'd really be interested to see someone take the plunge and find out how these are to the trained eye. One can only divine so much from pictures on the internet.

Why don't you take the plunge and let us know how it works out? Sitting around waiting for someone else to bear the risk is pretty selfish.
