Well I have a closet full of Edmonds. I have been a very somewhat obsessive reader of these posts. Last year I bought about 5 or 6 pairs of new Edmonds. I don't like any of em...They were mostly on sale. My foot is getting flatter and longer as I get a little older. Yes I tried them on when I bought em and do really know why I bought em! I just can't seem to get a good fit anymore. I am fairly certain I will be in Budapest in May 08 and will buy a few pair of Vass Bespoke. Until then I figured I would do the some "experimenting" so here is what I have purchased to kinda update the shoe wardrobe:

Southwold Blk Edward Green...My first Geens
Barrett Blk Italian Loafer
Barrett Brwn Suede Chukka Boots
Gravati Medium Brown Wholecut that is Antiqued..When My wife saw them she said "Beautiful"
Crockett & Jones Cordovan Onslow in Cordovan
Vass Olde English II Brown Boxcraft with Brown Scothgrain F last
Alden 909 Blk

I suppose this should feed my appetite for a while. All of the shoes were bought at a deep discount except the Vass and Aldens. I have really turned into a Barrett fan! I will continue to shop the sale circuit but may bite the bullet and pay regular price for a pair of Barretts.

you know I don't have the Greens and Vass yet. I ordered them. Most of the shoes except the Gravati and Barretts can be found on this site...Although I like to see the pics I am too lazy to take one. I will see what I can do. If my wife finds out I took a pic of my shoes and put em on the internet she may tease me for about a year!

Not only is it useless, it is cruel without pics.

Modified in light of jjgold's reply: Definitely post the Green and Vass shoes when you get them.

and you don`t put up.

There should be a rule banning this type of unfair behavior.

Pics would allow for, what they call in the trade, a happy ending

Been there - experienced that. My wife currently thinks she's a front.

LMAO who knew shoe people were so humorous! I won't be able to visit this thread and look at the pix without thinking that there will be a whole bunch of others who are experiencing their "happy ending" at that moment!
