Shoe trouble

I just purchased a new pair of L'Stony Kubrick

wore them around shopping for about 20 minutes.

I turn my foot over and shock horror the soles of my shoes are very worn out.

I never checked the sole of my shoe before or after I purchased it. The sales rep got it from out the back so I assumed it was brand new. Is it possible that I did the damage or was I sold roughed up shoes

Looks like normal wear to me. Leather soles are usually dyed or painted during finishing. The white you see is just the natural colour of the leather showing through now that the dyes have been rubbed off.

Some , well most good shoes, leather soles and heels come wth a buffed finish, and they are quite slippery when new. I take mine out to the garage when I get home and take a small sander to the soles and heels for a few swipes, instant break-in. I don't like taking a chance of slipping and sliding around, waiting for the break-in.
