Shoe tree recommendation for C&J 348 last

Do any of the forum members have a recommendation on which shoe tree would best work with the C&J 348 last shoes? My budget is $20-30 and it seems Woodlore, Costco, Cedarville, Grapevinehill, etc. are good quality shoe trees which are within my budget.

I was just wondering if people know which one would best fit a 8UK 348 last C&Js. Thanks.

C&J semi-lasted trees are £48.93 ($71) right now from Robert Old, and if order three or more, shipping is free (including shipping to the US.)

Above your budget, but something to consider if your budget can stretch.

Pretty sure Woodlore, Cedarville, and Grapevine Hill's trees are made by the same people: Woodlore, who is owned by AE I believe. I use Woodlore Ultras, I like the brass knob's location and they just seem like they fill out the toe and vamp a bit better than their cheapest line. Not sure there's really that much a difference.

If you search around for Cedarville group buy there there's a $5 off coupon code in an old thread that still works.

http://www.springline.net/shoe-trees.htm

My information from a high end shoe shop owner is that Springline make most of the manufacturing lasts for Northampton, therefore it would follow that one should be able to get lasted trees from them as they already have all the patterns stored/digitised.

Anyone done it, and if so what were the prices like? It could be something to consider for a group buy at some stage if the cost reductions were worth it.

I recently bought 6 pr of C&J trees from Pediwear, they have Plal beat on price and I was able to get a little break on their standard per pr shipping rate.

I had been neutral on their trees versus generic (due to price) but have to admit that the fit better and are more pleasing to the touch.

Although I would have preferred C&J shoe trees, the price is just above my comfort level. I think I'll go with woodlores. Thank you all for your inputs.
