Not exactly Knightsbridge, but the closest decent one I can think of is John Rushton on Wimpole Street. Just walk over to Jermyn Street anyway.

Berluti is just off Sloane Street. You also have Harrods nearby.

Go a bit further into Mayfair and you have all of the big names (EG, Lobb, C&J) within walking distance around Jermyn St.

Harrods???

Jermyn St / Mayfair is a 5 min cab ride / ~20 min walk away and you'll find much much better options there

+1 on Harrods. They stock C&J, Tom Ford, Church's, Stemar, Santoni and also Cheaney Imperial.

Harrods. They also stock JL Paris, as well as ZeFer offerings & Tod's casual shoes.
I heard they're renovating & improving the men's shoe room soon, too.

Church's have a store on Brompton Road, the Harrods collection of Church's is limited; however, Harrods is a good place to start as they have a wide range of shoes

The Pal Zileri store has a small shoe selection and Zegna may stock shoes (both opposite the main Harrods entrance)

Berluti off Sloane Street

Russell & Bromley on Brompton Road (avoid in my opinion)

The designer brands on Sloane Street have shoes but I cannot reccomend any (although that may be your style)

^^ There's no Zegna store near Harrods.
Everything else you've said is good advice (esp. about R&B being crap).
