Can any shoes be resoled, or only certain shoes if taken to a cobbler? I have these great shoes that are wearing thin, however they have a peculiar shape to the toe, can these be resoled by any cobbler, or are only some shoes "made" to be resoled? Does anybody have experience with resoleing shoes "after-market" if you will?

I think most stitched shoes can be resoled - such as welted, blake stitch, etc. I don't think the shape of the sole or toe matters that much - i think once the sole is stitched on the excess is cut by manual guidance.

I would suggest, if not using a manufacturer's refurbishment surface, just taking the shoes to a reputable cobbler and they'll let you know.

Thanks a bunch! I have had shoes refurbished before, but this company dosen't offer that. I guess I will just take them to my local cobbler.
