I am building up my wardrobe and I am trying to do this on a reasonable budget... My next purchase is a pair of casual shoes. I currently own a pair of AE Park Ave in black, and a pair of grenson's captoes in mid brown....

I am considering a pair of driving shoes... I like the Too Boot ones. Is this a practical purchase. I am also considering a pair of Alden penny loafers. I don't mind spending money on shoes, but I have to make sure my purchases are wise.

I would love to hear people suggestions. I will be wearing these mostly at business school and out in the evenings afterward. My budget is around 300ish

thanks

I'm not sure I'd consider driving shoes a real "core" purchase. It would be lower down on my list (unless you can get them for 30 bucks from J. Crew).

How about some dark-brown bluchers instead? More casual than the PAs, in a color you don't have. The right ones could be dressed up or down.
