Today it rained and of course my leather soled Antonio Mauritzi's got a little wet. They are airing out now after I wiped them with a damp cloth. However, when I let them air out, is it best to put some paper towels inside the shoe to absord the moisture, or should I put my shoe trees in them? Or, should I just let them air out with nothing inside them?

I would put some newspapers in the shoes.

Lay the shoes on their side, that the soles are exposed to the air and dry quickly.
