Hi, I just bought a pair of oxfords and I love them. There's just one problem: on the bottom of the lace parts near the throat of the vamp the stitches have ripped the leather. Does anyone know how much this affects the shoe's durability and wearability and whether I should return them? Thank you!

    If they're new, return them.

@Scelerat thanks for the response. I hope to keep them (can't find another pair I like more at the same price) unless I'm convinced otherwise. But you might be right. When they are completely ripped the stitches will just fly off leaving two ripped holes there. Is that why you suggest to return them?
