I did not post this in the shoe pictorial or Appreciation threads as the pictures take too much space. I came across this Korean company on ebay that claims its shoes are hand stitched, and takes 7-15 days to make a pair. Since I know the square root of eff all about shoes, would like to know what the gurus think..worth a buy at $120 odd? Anyone has had any experience with these guys? (Linky 1. Lambskin Chukka Boots:

Whoosh. And here was me thinking the upper one didn't look so bad.

What's so bad about the first one? Shape? Color? Stitching? All of it?

#1 looks completely off. Horrible, unrefined last, soles are too thin for a boot. Looks very flimsy in the pic.

#2 is attrocious. Nothing more to say.

What do you mean by 'unrefined last'? How can you tell?

I see that the sole does not 'sit well' on the floor, it's at an angle to the ground in some pictures. Is that a factor too?

#2 looks like something a typical korean college student would wear. Pair that with black Olivers People and you are set.

I was literally wincing as I viewed these (in part because of the responses I felt would surely follow). I am not normally one to rain on someone else's parade, or make abrasive and rude comments as some here are wont to do, but these are really not very nice: cheap looking materials, overwrought and inelegant design, all sitting on rice paper thin soles that look like you'll wear through them in a week.
