Okay, picking up the pieces of myself after the Shoegazing Super Trunk Show me and @hoodog , @Swede66 and @Frank the sheep hosted this Saturday in Stockholm, with Meermin, Vass and Maftei. Also things like bespoke shoemaking live, loads of shoe care products from Brunngård for sale, shoe care school, Swedish Championship in shoe shining and more. Was quite overwhelming, we expected a bit over 200 people coming, ended up with almost 700 visitors. About 130 shoes were bought or ordered during the events 7 hours, for roughly €60 000, and a bunch of more orders incoming the coming weeks when people have made up their mind on what to order.

Here's LOADS of pics from the event, taken by Hoodog and a cobbler named Pelle Björkman. Enjoy!

The red should surely be on the far left. [IMG]

That trunk show looks amazing. What a performance Maftei brought, eh? Incredible. Also, not loving the Vass "S" last, but suddenly needing to order other stuff...that Osloer boot for one. And the OEII in cognac (museum?). Shit. I can hardly contain myself.

Yeah, Maftei really had an amazing range of shoes with them! Unfortunately for me it was so much work that I barely had the time to look at the shoes during the event, which I'm feeling really sorry for now afterwords.

The shoes from Maftei was on a level i haven´t seen before. Both me, @Swede66 and @jingevaldsson orderd a pair :) The trunk show was so fun and the best part was that we had a good time with the makers. All of them (Meermin, Maftei and Vass) are great people, down to earth and they really love what they do. Hopefully we acn make this a tradition.

It was truely a great event!
Just received and paid my invoice from Maftei. Can't wait for the fitting October 25 and, of course, to receive the final shoe.
My first bespoke measurement experience and I learnt quite a bit on the particularities of my feet and what to look for also in a RTW shoe in terms of fit.

Great job gentlemen! I hope all who participated gained from the event! I have to admit I've been interested in Maftei recently; are they quite comparable to Vass in price and sizing? I also am curious as the the brand of shoes used in the polishing competition (below). It's a very nice tan...

Thanks a lot! Maftei are only bespoke, but as such very good in price. Start at €1100 for hand welted full bespoke (€200 less for coming orders, since production of last is included in that price).

The shoes in the polishing contest are Loake 1880 Aldwych tan.
