    Nice! I thought about getting those myself. Let me know how they fit, since I know we wear about the same size, and I'm not sure about the 7000 last.

    If you're going to have just one pair of black shoes....those are lovely. JL seem so slender across the forefoot though...maybe it's a genetic selection that my wide feet condemn me to the cheap-ass shoes I can afford!

    Some pics of a new pair of plain black cap toe oxfords, the Wildsmith Sloane. Very nice shoes, I'd say that the quality is more or less comparable to Alfred Sargent Exclusive (it's also AS who makes the shoes for Wildsmith) but with a less pronounced bevelled waist and chestnut tanned soles instead of oak bark.

    I likewise love the shoes but can't precisely figure how I would wear them. They are an interesting design that is hard to pigeon-hole.
