1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Here's one more hooray! for Bestetti and sea turtle skin. If sustainable farming or hunting could be implemented in one area, someone would make discerning men very happy. I've read that trade even in used pairs is prohibited, and eBay will remove most listings for ST pairs.

No animus mate just their sheer utilitarian brutality is a little confronting for the gentle sensitivies of the blokes round here. :)

I'm cool with shoes made from elephant. As long as I can have shoes made from people too

These people do great bespoke work. You should give them a try (if you have a spare $27,000)!

Absolutely stunning, J.I. Literally some of the most beautiful shoes I have ever seen. Congratulations, and thank you for those beautiful and inspiring pics.

As for the elephants, there are perfectly legal and well-managed means of producing elephant hide commercially, and although I find them wonderful beasts and care about humane hunting etc., I don't object in principle. Only that those shoes are a bit ugly.

The human thing, though....makes me shudder.

Is there a reason why the fold of the leather at the heel of JI's shoes is visible?
