mcarthur, loving your improved picture quality.
Sir F: do open Isshi's profile and click through his older messages. He has this forum's single most interesting collection. The pairs really ought to be photographed 360-wise and uploaded to an online museum.

kind words, sir. thanks.

My mom in town, we went to the mall and purchased these for me as a birthday present at the Ferragamo outlet, they look well made, nice color and fit very well. It's been awhile since I got shoes in person to take home. Very happy with the gift :)

Cheers

Your mother is welcome at my house any time!

She's already missed my birthday this year. So she's going to have some catching up to do. :embar:

Are those gamos from the Tremezza collection?

Spoo, I've never seen anything akin to your pair's stitching. Do post more, it looks wonderful.

Thank you, I thought they were pretty unique too. I will get some better pictures later on in the week.

hehe, she's a nice lady from Spain, one day she went to the Carmina store and took pictures for me :) she is 68 and is a fitness freak and is all toned and fit, stylish and likes dry gin martinis and steak, fun to be around. I don't see her often these days.

Yes they are tramezzas, I really liked a pair of red derbies captoes with medallion but they were a half size big, my mother liked the wholecuts more though. Leather quality looks quite good.

nephew,
happy birthday

Thank you uncle, mom crossed the pond to be here for my 50.

Well....she sounds like fun!

Tramezzas are very good shoes. You should indeed find the leather to be supple.

And congrats on turning 50!

Following the 'VRaivio method' of shooting shoes from all angles: NOS spade sole oxfords from Craddock-Terry's 'Natural Bridge' series, American-made in the 1950s. Slim leather soles, curvaceous last, linen lining, chiseled toe, flat laces and oddly imbalanced heels.

Uncle, that's a beautiful and deep color. I'm 8D in Alden and I had the chance to try this model a few weeks ago in 7.5D (my Barrie size) and the shoe was still significantly big on me, really loose. I was surprised that it was bigger than the Barrie, do you size down from the Barrie to fit the lhs?

Nice pics, I have a few things to learn from you when it comes to handling a camera. Nice shoes! but as you said, the heels are a bit odd? How do they feel when you walk?

I'm wondering out loud if perhaps the entire shoe has bowed from sitting in storage so long? Totally just wondering.

In any case the spade sole is great.

nephew,
thank you
on which alden last are you an 8D? the lhs are on the van last; therefore, my rule of thumb is that both the van last and the barrie last go for the same size. in your case the 7.5D was to big, i would try on the 7 D
