nephew,
those are beautiful
what size?

Many thanks for the compliment! As one of the True Gentlemen on this site, it means a lot. They are a US 8 1/2D. I am "culling my collection" for spring cleaning & they are looking for a nice new home.

First day with first pair of C&J's.

Looks like they fit you well. Lacings come together nicely, no extra room around the throat, creases setting up appropriately. Congratulations.

Were you fitted in the NYC store?

Yes, great store. Thanks for the comps. Looking forward to my next pair or may wait till I'm in London in Sept to go to the mothership.

New models from Marc Guyot, maybe a bit garish, but perfect for spring

Les exotiques

If somebody happens to be in Geneva, Switzerland today, I received this email from Brogue.ch . I might go today, they have sometimes Corthay on sale
----------

We will be open on Easter Saturday between 10am and 5pm.

We will be taking this opportunity to sell off end-of-line stock at very interesting prices.

As is custom in our shop, there will be some lovely Swiss wine to enjoy and since it is Easter, a selection of Swiss chocolate.

We hope you can join us even if you are not looking for any shoes.

Happy Easter from all of us at Brogue.

apparently their top line is handwelted.

Regarding Meermin, I've read the same. Although, I believe the shell pair I currently have on MTO order is hand lasted, but machine welted.
