    I took my AE kingsleys to my cobbler and asked for new leather soles and heels ($75). I asked him if this included replacement of the corkbed, which I think is standard on these shoes (and maybe all AE welted shoes?). He says yes; no extra charge.

    Is that usually the case? I haven't developed a relationship with this cobbler as I just moved to this area. After I get my shoes back, how can I be sure he actually put in the new corkbed?

    I have agree with you, based on the shape of that shoe. That "bump" where the little toe is exagerates the smaller toecap.
