One of best shoe design for black oxford shoe.
Me maker do bespoke pair for me at this time.
C&J Sommerville (Handgrade), if you are talking about the boots.
I took my AE kingsleys to my cobbler and asked for new leather soles and heels ($75). I asked him if this included replacement of the corkbed, which I think is standard on these shoes (and maybe all AE welted shoes?). He says yes; no extra charge.
Is that usually the case? I haven't developed a relationship with this cobbler as I just moved to this area. After I get my shoes back, how can I be sure he actually put in the new corkbed?
Sweeney has been making that style of shoe for just over a decade now...
I love a good spade.
Long vamp and somewhat short cap. Reminiscent of Vintage, one might say...
To no good effect, in my opinion.
I have agree with you, based on the shape of that shoe. That "bump" where the little toe is exagerates the smaller toecap.
My humble rotation
Reminiscent of Barker Blacks with that short toecap. But quite an unusual last IMO.
I am substituting drugs with clothes and shoes.
It's just as easy to OD using clothes or shoes
reminds me of Barker Black's Clifton (click on pic to enlarge)
Who you tellin'...I may need to go back to old habits. Seriously, it's work-related.
