    Some pictures of gator and ostrich at the local shop with some stupid prices. Gators were about US$ 1,800 with a 70% reduction already .

    Two matched hides of alligator with custom dye job=$1200.00 minimum. Not to mention the lining, insole, outsole, heel layers, etc., and labour.

    "Stupid?" Who knows?

    Just sayin'...

    1950's Florsheim Longwing Gunboats (when the model was introduced) in Buffalo hide. Great bad weather leather, practically indestructible

    You sure? I've felt buffalo hide and it was quite supple and I thought that one of the unique characteristics was its strength despite its suppleness.
