This is very very interesting.
There is a reason for the price and it's justified, even if we are spoiled 75% off freaks.
Couple of my EGs after a year (at the time of the pics):
NORE curious what portion of your C&J Darlton Cognac Shell vs EG Sandringham Cognac Shell is subjective/personal (I like how their lasts look, I like how their styling looks, I prefer how their lasts happen to fit me) vs objective (super craftsmanship, wear, longevity)
Never owned those. I've owned:
C&J for RL Bentons/Belgrave
C&J for RL Redway
EG for RLPL MacKay
EG for PRL Falkirk (OG pair, legendary on these fora)
EG for RLPL something
And a plethora of other shoes and more pairs of the above brands I can't think of ATM.
OK - haven't been able to get decent pics lately - is it me? the camera?
even the poor photo's cannot mask the beauty of those crispins.
Bryan was in HI when these showed up and mailed them from there.
Are those Crockett and Jones shoe trees? If so where and how much?
I said this, until I found Carmina.
sharp looking boot, enjoy wearing
Very nice, I was breaking in my SCs last night and fit felt great..
relax, everybody knows that you love your EG's. no reason to convert others in a missionary manner, imo.
