I feel less bad about the 7~8 pairs I bought last year...
Well phuck me ragged with a baseball bat....
NAMOR, as a fellow lover of boots (minor, minor league), I'll just cut to the chase buy your favorites.
That means (wots left)
• Alden Black Shell Captoe Boot Grant Last
• Raf Simons Lace-Up
• Alden Ravello Wingtip Boot
I Freaking LOVE IT! When you can sell as well, it opens up a whole new world of Shoe Addiction. Very nice collection as well. You'll be back for more in 2012 I'm sure...
OMFG - I count about 30 pairs that you kept. That's a lot for one year for a working man.
Thank you proving to me that I'm not so addicted as others. (I think I'll be at about 20 this year - but haven't counted exactly.)
You've bought some seriously good stuff in there, by the way.
Namor is like the drunkest guy at the party, the guy you're so thankful is around b/c nobody notices how bombed you are.
(and I mean that in the best way, great selections!!)
What did you wear before 2011?
Damn, Namor. You hit a home run this year!! I want 1/10 of what you purchased.
based on the shoes in your rotation, your estimated time table is on the low side and i would project 99 years
Wha oh! Uncle Mac has run the numbers!
Namor, you better start working on perfect nutrition and healthcare now if you intend to outlast your shoes!
(of course we realize you will sell most of them and replace them with new toys long before then)
thanks guys. This is what I wore in 2010:
Pair of Gordon Rush laceups I purchased in college. I remember thinking $125 was too expensive for shoes. Earlier this year I gave them away to friend who is in college and he thinks they are amazing. Good for him.
you have demonstrated a very important trait that it is better to give then receive
Thank you DWF II, son of saphir and isshinryu101 for clearing up the questions.
I had my doubts about the hand-stitched GY construction. I believe as you all have described it's a marketing euphemism to jazz up the use of gemming.
Feit has more than just sneakers btw, they produce a line of lace-to-toe hiker boots as well.
I had no knowledge of stitchdown versus norvegese previously but it's quite clear now.
I'm afraid most people (as I was) are taken/confused by the spin and believe the associations of quality and artisan workmanship when the term 'handswen goodyear welt' comes up.
Me glad you get addicted.
The gordon rush look very very bad and very very sad
