    Good stuff! I saw a pair at the shop a while back and they looked fantastic. I wouldn't be surprised if they lighten up a bit over time. I'm sure you're correct that they'll age nicely. Wear them well!

    I am a fan of the Dover but that is not a good looking shoe. Apologies but if that is what you want you can buy a $100 pair of hush puppies and they will look better.

    Looks like the camera angle is just low. Note how the far edge of the shelf appears higher than the leading edge.

    That said, some lasts will have more bottom radius than others...often more for aesthetic reasons than functional.

    And overzealous bottom filling, especially in the case of GY, might create a bulging forepart, as well.
