Smells like a bbq. Literally. The Wife hates it, but it works!

it looks like colored paste. I wonder why not something clear on leather like that. I would think color is unnecessary, and even maybe undesirable... they look like Patina Central is gonna come naturally for them.

    Interesting.

I notice it contains birch oil.

And the Russian leathers are traditionally tanned with birch bark, and treated with birch oil during the orignal tanning process no?

    Very interesting indeed.

As to the bbq aroma - sounds good to me!

beautifully made version of the classic style. Personally, i enjoy the "bolder" G&G offerings, but as far as the more conservative models go, this one is excellent.

I NEVER get tired of your posts here. As a creature of habit, consistency is comforting to me... and the SOCKS are very cool.

Where do you get your OTC argyles? I need some in darker colors and the only ones I can ever find are either mid-calf or flashier colors.

I really would like to find out how you could manage to find so many new vintage shoes

Possible to hook me up with that?

Thank YOU, friend. Glad you like them. In light of recent Vintage Controversies, I have collected some more "conservative & traditional" Vintage styles to post. I PERSONALLY love the Gunboats & wild exotic shoes- and thus collect them for myself- but that is just a small percentage of what was actually made.

Short answer, I go out into the woods and whistle that tune Snow White did when all the forest animals mobbed her. Vintage Shoes like me.
    For long answer, PM me.

Love these. If they are around a 10.5/11 and ever go up for sale send me a PM! :^)

    .

Those are fantastic! It's impossible to get that style of boot in that tough leather anymore. The British army stopped making brown boots for officers in the mid 1960s, so it's vintage left now.

I recently bought two pairs of vintage boots - one's dated 1944, the other probably 1950s. I'll add a few pics later.

    Esteemed fellow shoe lovers,

got them back yesterday: a pair of Florsheim Imperial Norvegese Alligators. Completely overhauled at one of Germanys best shoe maker. Worn already one day. Just love these!

    Pics follow!
