    I try only to 'glaze' the first inch or so of the toe decreasing the shine gradually to create a natural transition to the rest of the shoe's normal shine.

    Glad I read this before commenting on your previous post. Excellent to keep the spit shine to the toes only. The flexible parts of the leather need different (less drying) treatment. In short, you've got Great Toes... Patrick Booth can learn something here (nasty toes).
