Very nice. Is that just grained calf? It looks a bit like that Russian reindeer hide.
That is way overboard. A bit of cream polish, buff, then a couple of thin layers of wax polish, buff, done.
Ferragamo calls it pebble grain calf, nothing fancy i'm afraid.

I dunno if I can be sure that it's gator. It almost looks like tattered cape material. Maybe three hundred and fifty pound test monofilament? Or perhaps a Kevlar biweave? My god. Now I know why Spoo never shows his face...
