immediately, no. Over time, it would improve with proper care. The dark shade of the shoes helps.
Probably a small hit of deglazer might clear it away. Then you would have to start the whole process of building up the colour
Thought I should just throw these into the mix:
Carmina Simpson lasts
^ Stunning. Is that via the Armoury?
I have these and they are awesome.
Oh hey, look at that. Thanks!
Yup, from the fine gents at the Armoury.
...there's no life like stylish n0-life. I'm coming after your post count, you sage, you.
First post of my own shoes! (Go easy on me!)
RLPL "Jermaine" Boots - I love these, they fit great with good comfort, look excellent with dark jeans and khakis (not brave enough to try them with anything else, yet, but I'm open to advice) and I'm looking forward to enjoying them this fall and perhaps even longer, should we be graced with a temperate winter here in the midwest.
As for dress shoes, I've been wearing $80 Macy's for many years, but over the summer while shopping for something dressier for a pair of weddings I stumbled across these Kitons at a NM Last Call for about $600. There wasn't a great deal of information about them, other than #21158 last and model "51" which is oh so descriptive. The stitching is gorgeous, and they are exceptionally comfortable. They don't take much of a shine, which is fine with me because they don't get too dirty either. They are too nice for me to wear at the workplace, so I break them out for special occasions. (Weddings, formal dinners, and the like.) I thought the inclusion of "Kiton Shoe Polish" was an interesting touch; my local cobbler took a whiff of it and said it was good stuff (something about the petroleum content) but other than that I don't know how good it really is.
I have a plethora of black cap toes, split toes, ugly toes, etc. all in terrible condition, so in the coming months I'm hoping to get rid of some of the black shoes and add more variety. I am hoping to pick up some suede brogues, a burgundy or cigar cordovan captoe (I am waiting for the Allen Edmond sale) and a slip-on that fits.
Apologies in advance for the less-than-stellar pictures, I haven't shot shoes before
Are those Carmina Shoe trees or your own trees?
