    Fritzl

Why do you think the Church's are a better option? You know , even I occasionally get brainwashed with all this EG is the best stuff in SF; so even the great church's defender harbors doubts on this.

Please give me something to put those thoughts to rest....

Got my father that same pair of shoes in a lighter color. Now I've gotta find the time for the Venetian treatment.

Looks like Church's is re-vamping their styles. This new offering looks to be a departure from what they've been doing seemingly forever. EG, on the other hand, seems to be content with sticking to their "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy.

    will be tough, i try...

a company, who produces a shoe with five different stitch patterns is half assed, imo.

yes, i'm talking about the dover.

although, i never owned a churchs, there is a sentimental connection to this brand. imo, they are more real and classic.

It's interesting to endorse a product one has never actually used...

That said, I own a couple of pairs of Church's, and all are built to last. I went to a wedding in Maine, and it rained for 5 straight days. I wore my Graftons for 16 hours per day on each day, with the only care being they slept in trees.

The polished binder (which is great for rain) did not crease extra at all and stayed mark free. The soles handled all the wet like a champ.

Fritzl, I am afraid I have to side with 'iswhatever' on this one. Your argument for me buying church's is weak ( god, cant believe i am saying this)

If I was of a cynical disposition-which of course is not the case- I would be inclined to believe that you are displaying an anti-EG bias because they compete with your Viennese masterpieces.

So I am afraid you have not been of much help here, (to me anyway)

The sky must be falling, because I find you somehow "siding with me"?!?!?! Fritzl does know a lot about shoes and his opinions are always to be respected. The man hates the Dover & I like it. That's it. You are a shady MF if I've ever seen one.

    iswhatever

I try to take each issue on its own merits.

when i think you are full of shit i will say so,
when I think you are right I will say so too ( not that you are still full of shit , but that you are right I mean- just so that there are no misunderstandings :D)

in any case i have a decision to make and that is what is 'worrying me'
