    Let's seal the deal :slayer:

These are current (!), exhibited at the Pitti Uomo in June.
Bought by Marmolada/Walles en gros when it was still legal and now the do good business, esepcially on the Japanese market:

Thanks! They look great. In all fairness to EG, I should mention that they actually can do a 1.5 tapering to a single as I had done on these monks. I think the SC's are sexier, but EG does what it can in its traditional mannerisms.

Since these were taken I've darkened the shoes a slight touch with Kiwi dark brown polish so they are more of a cross between Edwardian (original color) and Burnt Pine which looks fantastic.

The picture looks rather like welted tapering to Blake-stitched. There's at least one Japanese brand I know of (Shetland Fox?) that makes shoes that way.

Believe it or not, but even OTR (!) monks can be comfortable... Really!

That was the Japanese Designer (dont remember the name though) who is into the sealskin thing!

Yeah, I also just heard that it is currently legal to hunt down seals in limited quanitities again...

Your Oundles look great in Edwardian. I hadn't realise EG can do a 1.5 taper to a single, thanks for the heads up I would try it on my next order. I agreed EG still do classic shoes very well, I haven't totally given up on them just yet.

The leather is actually ugly. With what kind of clothes do you want to match those?
