1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't understand the reasoning for it at all. It is a public store. What could one do with a picture of an item? I mean you could certaintly ask to try it on and in the dressing room take a photo and they would never know. They are pricks.

Whenever I make notes of things in shop windows in Italy a sales person usually comes out and stares at me malevolently. A lot of shop owners are very paranoid and aware of the competition from the internet these days I think.

It's just bad business. Make a potential customer feel uncomfortable & they'll never come back.

Gdot - many thanks, the forum advice was very helpful, that was the first time I asked for buying advice and was amazed by the positive and helpful response. They appear lined but with tan leather as the insole (no lining on the inside heel though). I'd love bright blue or red!

+1. Reminds me of when I was coming out of North Korea. Guards insisted on seeing every single photo and deleted any they didn't like the look of...

Yes, too much. It's also brain-dead on the part of the store's staff. Once the photos were sent, you've got them to download, distribute or... sell to the Metropolitan Museum. What are they afraid of??

^ Awesome! So the suede look like single sole, the dark oak look like double soles and the tan scotch grain looks like (dare I say) triple soles???
