    +1

S M makes some very nice shoes that I'd be glad to own. But for me those are just not right. The super light colored upper combined with the very chunky black sole is just not appealing to me at all.

The price for a pair of shoes and corrected grain isn't always correlated. Corrected grain leather doesn't always mean it is bad, bad is all about the tannage. So, would SM use corrected grain leather? I don't know, it depends on this finish they are going for. Church does, but their leather is good. They offer the same shoes in non-corrected for the same price. People own both kinds for years and years.

As for the pebble, or scotch grain, it is a "kind" of correction. I would guess 99.9% of all scotch grained leathers on shoes today are stamped with the pattern of the grain. Apparently back in the day the leather was soaked in scotch to shrink it and give it the grained look. Isshinryu might know something about it more than I would as he is up on old shoes. Even further as the bootmaker DWFII.

I was thinking about getting those before they disappeared from his site, but I couldn't really tell how I felt about the soles. They remind me of the Red Wing chukkas, though I'm not sure if those are still in production.

Super comfy and thankfully not as tan or as thick as the current Vibram sole being used everywhere.

I received today from Ron a similar boot, the Rider Boot Co. English Moc Chukka, they are indeed made by Silvano Sasseti. Yours, Moo, look better though. I like the leather and colour. Mine look too clunky (I do not dare posting pics), heavy soles and will probably onyl wear them in the snow.

Agree with Fritzl. Heiniosities that should be avoided by anyone who even pretends to enjoy shoes. Those things are for runway models in June or July and not for real people--particularly not for men.

The moore is now part of the Exclusive range. When I ordered them this model was not part of any range. So it is a full MTO with HG finish.
IMO this model suit very well the 106 last which is quiet pointy .
Anyway I love them and they are now so comfortable to wear. I think the leather (a special very old stock they received when I ordered them - lucky me) is for a lot.
The photo was taken last week and I probably worn this shoes about 25 times since I get them - incredible leather quality.
