Just kidding. Sometimes I need a minute of comic relief between bouts of yelling at my employees & clients.

I'd want to wear those shoes with suits, and I prefer oxfords with suits. I'd still wear those bluchers, but would like them better as oxfords.

    Beautiful color.

Mannina is such a pleasure to go into - I got a pair when I was in Florence a few years ago and they are the nicest shoes I own and the price was, at that time, very reasonable for the quality.

Cravate, in some of the pictures you posted before there is an Asian guy working in the shop but I remember a Japanese lady working in the shop when I was there. Do you know about her and where she might have gone? Also, how old do you think Mr. Mannina is and is the son involved with the actual making of the shoes as well?

I guess you are talking about Mannina RTW, some rtw models are made in their workshop (which are excellently priced at 350-400€ for handsewn blake, what is less than what most machine sewn Santonis cost), but most RTW models are made by Franceschetti and other companies.
In the shop do not work any other people than the Mannina family (there was an Italian girl a year ago in as a half tiem sales assistant), in the workshop where they make the shoes they have, like all other Artisans from Florence, apprenticvces from everywhere.
Mr.Mannina in his early 70s in think, his son Antonio is not involved in making the shoes, he runs the store etc.
Bespoke is also very well priced at 750/1200€ for blake/goodyear.
As the Mannina family are friends of mine, the bespoke process was very pleasing, Mr.Mannina made some drawings based on my expßlanations and photos I looked up on his brother in law's ipad in the store (to get over the language barrier which occured when I asked for some very specific details).

I'm in Naples atm, so sorry iF the answer was inclear.

Yes, for the loafers I wanted something at least formally lighter.

The very specifi detals were to put everything so that it looks like in what you see in the photos, I have no eminent sentiments about the shoes, the people who made them are just great.
