Yeah. Kinda an ankle boot. They are slightly taller than my Alden Chukkas.

Cross post from "Shoes with character":

My collection, all are between 0.5 and 3 years old. I wear each pair about one time per week. While my shoe knowledge has improved during the last three years at styleforum, my photography skills have not.

Top row: AS Premier, AS Premier, AS Premier for Herring, CJ Benchgrad for S&H
Bottom row: Loake 1880 for Herring, CJ Benchgrade, CJ Handgrade for RL, RL, Cleverley

kischi, that's a nice collection, and your photography skills are fine. one thing i might recommend is to take the photos in a place with plenty of indirect sunlight, and turn off the flash [IMG]

Thanks for posting. The color is nice and from my experience, the ankle height of this boot will make it much more comfortable than a high balmoral boot. Enjoy it With that in mind, the design is off with the mix of the brogueing & gimping along the apron...and just stitching on the throat, sides and counter. The overall design is disappointing

    Yes, they're monogrammed with AJ.

My first at full retail, just placed the order today. It was so hard to do considering I'm a recent college grad, but I sold some stuff I didn't wear and only had to pay about $150 out of pocket. Alden AF95 Wingtip Boot in Dark Brown on the Leydon last. [IMG] -226

PG, if someone were to describe your shoes in words, I would think that would look a bit off, but seeing them like that shows the combination worked well. They are nice.

PG, usually a massive Vass fan, with couple of pairs myself (some of the same pairs that you have), but in my opinion, that style doesn't suit the U-Last at all. I think it would have looked much better of the F-Last.

I have seen Vass Norweger on both U and F lasts. I was skeptical of the style in U last at first, but I thought it turned out very well, perhaps better than on F last.

Tat might be the least-elegant pair of Vass I've seen (meant with all reschpeck to G).
