Tell me more about those dubble munx.

Those are Bally Scribes. IMO my scribes have better build quality and leather than the Vass I have.

Most of my shoes are Cole Haan and they are perfect 9.5D's. What color are the Drummond's in the pick?
Beechnut burnished calf. After posting that, I tried on the Drummonds I would say that you could go with either an 8.5E or 9E depending on whether you like a snugger or looser fit. Or maybe I'm just a weird size. [IMG] FWIW, AE 9.5D fit me just right -- I have no experience with Cole Haan.

My current shoe rotation. Thanks to SF for enlightening me. I used to wear black prada and ferragamo loafers. ButI still have a couple of not SF-approved shoes in here.

The leather is ok, not high quality but not corrected grain. Soles are rubber and glued so you can't really expect them to last very long. But they're as comfortable as sneakers. I only use them whenever its raining.

I think its best to have a snugger fit as long as there's enough room in the toe. The leather will stretch and create a more custom fit.

    Thank you guys.

Here is a much more accurate color representation, in daylight. It is amazing what a little natural light can do [IMG]

Or consider the C&J Drummond. I really like mine. I think the lines are a little sleeker than the EG. [IMG]
Great looking shoe! I was able to grab a pair on here. Nice, clear photography.

How does yours fit? Did you size down because of the extra room in the toe box?

I don't think a C&J Drummond is a good substitute for the Inverness. First, because it's a C&J and not an EG, which is IMO a steep downgrade (not a C&J hater, I have multiple pairs and they're great value). Second, because the uniqueness of Inverness is its construction and lightness - it is not a typical wingtip and wears more like a whole cut than a brogue - austerity or not. And then third, because the Drummond is on a very elongated last and it only works for some. The sleek EG lasts are quite a bit less conspicuous IMO.
