1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Then they would be similar to G&G's St. James.

Except the St. James' throat is much larger in scale relative to the rest of the shoe. I like the smaller proportions of this one, but wish it had the same shape.

Although I could not find much info about Tanino Crisci and my previous post here did not get any attention, I went back to the shop (in Lausanne, Switzerland) and to my surprise they had another round of reductions but not much left in my size. However I bought 3 more pairs, nothing left good year welted. The shoes where around 100-120 USD (about 80% off retail), from the 2008 and 2009 collections. They told me a guy from New York bought 10 pairs, so I wonder if he's not a member here.

Another brand not so popular here, Lidfort, and my last purchases from Yoox this year

I like variety, finding more obscure brands and my model is aportnoy, but probably I should save for some bespoke.

Dead stock Doc Marten 1484's from before 2003. Made in England.

What's the attraction of pre-2003 Doc Marten?

Damn, that's a great price for great looking shoes.

    How's the quality and comfort?

I wore once a pair of TC and the suede Lidfort loafers that I managed to get wet. The leather is buttery soft, comfortable, and quality seems excellent (no GY though), but no idea about durability.

Yep! They're great. Very comfortable and slimming/elongating. I have some suede chukkas on this last that rank among the most comfortable shoes I own.

Mine just arrived this morning. Very nice indeed.

That's them alright, the FS029. I emailed the address on the Cheaney holding page website, Sheila got back to me immediately and even rang the factory shop for me to check if they had my size in stock. £150 plus shipping.

    Factory shop - 0044 1536 763760.
