I saw Barney's rapid blake boots in that color and on the similar if not exact last. They were on sale too. Unfortunately only large sizes left when I saw them.

Absolutely. No matter how classic or correct patent leather is it's always looked tacky to me.

Only the Vass U-last could make a shoe that gorgeous in the normally bland and conservative black cap-toe.

Patent leather formal shoes aren't necessarily correct since a high-polished Russian skin pump was considered proper for that form of shoe.
