If it is Barrie, it is meant for flat feet. Do you have flat feet or you don't know?

- semi flat feet & yes Barrie sounds familiar.. Will ask Tassels when I go in to pick up my Indies (getting new eyelet as it was chewing up laces)

Shell looks very different in color depending on your angle. I guess it has a grain, like mown grass. It will look dark from one direction and light from the opposite side. I suspect this pic happened to be taken from the lighters looking side and was flooded by a flash. My Darlton bluchers are just a hair lighter than my wingtips.

Aberdeen and Hampton are very similar, right?

Aberdeen and Hampton are not similar. Aberdeen is narrow in the toe and roomy in the back compared to Hampton.

The flex welt chukkas are often on the Leydon.
