1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Eeesh. the soles (color, stitching, visual heft) do those no favors.

I am not a particular fan of longwings to begin with [IMG] but these soles make them look even chunkier/clunky. Something about that color against the suede also looks rather "cheap".

Looks like the uppers are bolted to steel plates [IMG]

i hear what you are saying and probably you know my approach to these kind of styles...

the angle of the picture is not flattering. i admit, that they have a strong and solid appearance.

what bothers me is the 360 degree welt. though jay jay, who is really into alden's, said, they look better than his alden's, i find it unnecessary to "copy" a very distinctive style, who inherits his own heritage and not the heritage of vass.

walking on thin ice luk san.

the leather is delicate and nice. the toe shape is something you've get used to. this is a shoe for a special purpose, as our friend explained. i think they are great in alpine conditions.

maybe we could do a group order with genuine elephant skin. i'm all in.

hahahaha, with these boat you could ski on thin ice!

I'll join. Maybe we should consider a second pair in faux deerskin as office shoes.

only if it is russian and 300 years old!!

Good quality and in good shape. I would dye them a darker brown.
