1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Wow, thousands of dollars worth of near identical black shoes. Excessive, but I love it.

Most recent purchase off ebay, two pairs of Grenson Rose collections - the Radley and the Chertsey. Total was about $320 USD, and they arrived in *one* day through Fedex. I have small feet and the 7F on their 96 last fit me very well, can't wait to start wearing these things.

Wow. I'd never thought these would look as nice IRL from their promo pictures:

Seriously, why do they take such shitty pictures? I would have never bought them based on their company pics.

As I was posting this yesterday I did (for a moment) question my intention to get more black shoes (the G&G Warwick, and the Cleverley semi-bespoke elastic sided shoe with a punched cap are both likely purchases over the next year), but I justify it to myself based on:
    a) Durability: by wearing the shoes once every 1-2 weeks (and by religiously using shoe trees and polishing) I reckon that each pair will last me a very long time
    b) Variety: wearing only black shoes during the week is not exactly exciting (and wearing anything else would just feel 'wrong' - I have tried), but the small variations that a large selection offer goes some way to make up for this

Have heels on men (regardless of sexuality) been accepted even by the non-SZ type fashion circles?

Hmm well it's not popular on SZ. There's a trend of very gay boys wearing ladies heels and "it" bags, google BrianBoy or something. Marc Jacobs did a bag in his honour....

Basically outside of "fashion" circles it's still a big fuck you. Which is the point of those heeled boots anyway. I tried on the snakeskin Rick Owens heels and I looked like a height-challenged queen trying to overcompensate, not a good impression.

Almost anything except a suit. Mostly odd trousers, moleskins, cords...

The red, white and blue tab makes them Thom Browne, no?
