    good to see the oxford medallion's have found a home and being enjoyed. it's a funny SF rollercoaster these went on to get to you. i hope you continue to enjoy them.

    also, great additions! i really like that u-lasted double monk!

    Very pretty.

    There's something slightly discordant about the intensely elegant last and the necessarily busy design of a full brogue with medallion. But it's good discordant, on balance, I think.

    New Borgioli...a make that doesn't get much love here at SF, According to the store owner, Borgioli will be pulling out of the American market. He said that the bulk of their production was being bought up for sale in Russia.

    Why does that not surprise me?

    I'm going to try to post my new bespoke Corthay's. Crossing my fingers (the color is off--it is more a plum color). Forgive me if this doesn't work--first attempt at pics. What would these best go with (I know many do not like exotic skins)?

    Double monk, U last, antique cognac, and Weymouth U-cap, U last, Oxblood. Both with double sole tapering to single at waist and Italian polish finish.

    Thank you. They were not as much as one might expect--not much more than some Lattanzi shoes I have ordered in "regular" leather. And less than a Kiton RTW pair I saw at their NY boutique!

    The plum color is absolutely gorgeous [​IMG]

    I'd wear it with blue flannel, along with royal blue and even Navy suits
