1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Chukka boots. The color is some kind of antiqued grey/brown/black hybrid. Hard to capture in pictures (more grey IRL), but very striking and not like any color I've seen before in person. Because I have some shell boots on the way from Ron and a general preponderance of ankle books in my wardrobe, I may be putting these up for sale soon. [IMG] [IMG][IMG] [IMG][IMG] [IMG]

Nice, look forward of more pictures of the Weymouth, compared to Lichfield & Southwould perhaps?

Happy to oblige. These are redwood antique, a new EG hide option.

I like them and I think you outbid me for them on eBay [IMG] though I'm kind of in the same boat as you concerning ankle boots, let me know.

Aportnoy, the redwood looks fantastic! I am considering placing an order... So I feel strange asking a favor of a forumite, but if the redwood (and bauxite maybe) could be added to update the EG color chart that is a helpful and popular sticky here, it would be of much appreciated by myself and I'm sure many others...

On another note, my recent shoe damage:

EG Southwold 606 Burgundy and G&G Hayes MH71 Rioja

Thanks for the kind words. I will try to update the color chart with bauxite and redwood and I'll also include suedes and willow calves etc in the next version.

Great Southwold and Hayes!![IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I was getting a fitting on a few tweed jackets at Field's in Georgetown and I felt a compelling urge to head next door to Sky Valet... Here is what I got: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Loake Kempton in Tan Pebble Grain. Alden Chukka in Kudu and a Vibram sole. I decided to get something more casual this time

Oh, and this is on my list for next time...

Alfred Sargent Cobham in Black Suede. Something I was told is a special order and not avialable anywhere else.

Awesome shoes Have you seen this thread on the G&G Rioja? http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=83762 Since I'm guessing both those shoes are crust leathers, how are you keeping them from not creasing as drastically as the ones in that other thread?
