New from Borrelli. I've heard they are made by Sutor, is that true?

Hmmm... Turns out taking good photos of shoes is hard than it looks. Please excuse the crap photgraphy.

Crockett & Jones Aintree in "beige". Coloour is more of a light tan though. This was my first pair of "good" shoes. Kind of a funny first choice now that I think about it. Bought them at the store on Jermyn Street.

Vass half-brogues in a mid brown. I don't know much about Vass lasts or colours. Bought them at the Vass store in Budapest. 85,500 forints if you pay cash.

Well, I've inadvertently become the owner of balmoral boots. I wasn't looking for them, but then I came across these Marteganis on sale:

I'm not sure when I'll wear them. Most bal boots we see here are way too dressy for my needs -- the type of thing I'd never wear. But the light color of these and the heavy broguing made me think I might be able to find a way to work them into the rotation. If not, they may end up in B&S.

I also picked up these chelseas, which I love:

These suede monks, made by C&J:

And these pebble-grain Lobbs:

Doc - where did you get the Marteganis? I know from Ron's blog that those are carried by a store in Minneapolis. Did you find them somewhere else or did you order from there? I had been thinking about calling that store to order a pair of those myself. If they're on sale, all the better.
