Nevertheless it is hardly the best-selling last in his collection. I do not know the figures, but I remember Miss Vass mentioning that they did not use that last too often.

I have just come off the phone to Mr Materna in Vienna (the good man himself) and asked him, if he considered his traditional last to be a banana last. "No, it's not. Ed Meier does it. I don't know anyone in Vienna who uses it. We would do, it if it was anatomically necessary."

Let's say it like that: Shoemaker are like Winemaker. They neglect "everything".
Especially things they didn't invent themselves.

I have somewhat 20 pair of shoes on this last. From three different makers, so probably I should know a bit about it.

Yes, and nowhere does the tip venture... Why, cause they are bespoke. But you can see it when you look at the sole. Anyway.

Especially the Maftei's, who claimed to me that the Peduform is a "misdoing".
Etc., etc., etc. ....

In the soul, you can, see the heart, of the man.

One question for Borgioli owners - should they come with individual shoe bags? Mine only had a cloth in it, no bags.

^^^ The 88 is really nice. It is a much richer looking last than the 888.

Plus One. Side by side, the 888 looks ungainly in comparison.
