Mussel I will look on the boxes . They usually would email me pictures and I would tell them exactly what color and what detail I want. The more english model was a little elongated and wider so went down two sizes. The more Italian model just one size down both fit perfect without a pinch .One thing Bergdorf money back if you dont like it Kiton no you have to keep trying until you get the right one.Suppose to be if not instock 6 weeks for special order .If you know your size and you had to order I'd go with Bergdorf less money. The price differance is about 300 to 400 dollars .1950 with Bergdorf. 2300 to 2400 special order with Kiton.

Lufta, the 4 pairs of Kiton are drop dead beatiful. You should invest in a better camera, the pictures just don't do them justice.

Well, in Italy, his handlasted shoe (not the Norvogese/Tirolese) is about 30% cheaper than an equilavent Kiton.

Those Scafora are truly amazing. I believe a pair of Kiton costs around $1500 in Europe after currency exchange and VAT refund, that put a pair of Scafora RTW around $1050, a reasonably price for such an marvelous shoe. But that was about 9 months ago, how much the Euro has appreciated against $US since then? 268%?

Do you know what the lasts are for both?

The "English" one looks like B-26 to me.

The KIton wingtip model# is 7 the last # is G-26. The captoe model# is 22 the last # is 19040. I hope this helps.

Kitons at the Milan store are about Euro 1050 for the goodyear version. The Kiton shoes are nice, but are crazy prices for something that is not handmade. At that pricepoint I switch over to bespoke.

I've been to the Kiton shoemaking establishment and compared to Scafora, there is less handwork involved, the antiquing is not as nice, and I think that Scafora has much nicer looking lasts such as the Q, plus with Kiton you have to pay extra for custom shoe trees.

Thanks. Unfortunately they're too big for me; think I'd need to go half a size or maybe even a full size down to get a good fit. [IMG]

I do like the idea of adding an elongated apron-front derby to my shoe collection though - maybe I'll put the refund towards a Dover on the 888 last or something...

Now that you mentioned it, I took a second look and realized they were whole cut. I don't remember seeing a whole cut monk strap before. Very cool.

    Probably StefanoBi.

TKD, the Santoni FAM from Yoox look very good, nice color too. Too bad they don't fit.

Here's one more from Vacca 5th Ave.:

    I don't remember exactly but I think they're around $1200-1300 plus 30% off.
