A typical Canadian, longing for a socialistic paternalistic nanny government telling you what to spend, what not to spend and how to spend what little left of your after-tax earnings.

the recent photos of crockett and jones have given me a new appreciation for the brand-- thank you! I'm hoping to get a pair of boots in my size during my visit to london next month. was hoping for a pair of chelsea boots, now i see they DO in fact stock some in the stores-- and the price is right, at about 300-400 british pounds.

Foxx, while in London don't miss this cool installation by Carsten Höller at Tate Modern's Turbine Hall. You can slide all the way from the top fifth floor to the ground floor if you don't have vertigo. They look scarier than they are. They have different levels, they are free but you need to reserve a timed ticket to all but the first level. I could only slide on the first level since I had to give away my 7:00 5th level ticket because I needed to catch a 7:30 curtain at Covent Garden:

John Lobb Prestige Luffield Museum Parisien Brown 8000 last. It seems the seamless heel construction is all the rage for the Prestige line.

Lovely.

I have to say, JL's welt is a little too extended for my taste these days.

These photos of stupendous antiquing are making me year to send a pair of tan shoes to a pro for a make over. That or learn how to do this myself.

I have seen seamless back from other makers such as Lattanzi and Vass. Is it more difficult to make shoes with seamless back?
