I also had monks on the brain Ron. My next shoe damage thread (coming soon)will feature these 5 JL monk additions:

    Vale (chestnut museum)
Chapel (2) (dark brown museum, red museum)
    Naseby (dark oak)
    Newland (Havane antique)

Unbelievable. With all the shoes you already have how can you want more -- won't it just make each morning's selection process (which already has to take at least an hour) that much longer? I, personally, couldn't handle it.

You're a frickin' shoe stud! [IMG] (as is VR [IMG] ) Rock on, bros!!! [IMG] [IMG]

Nice. Are your monks plain, or do they sport medallions? (an issue that's been recently discussed)

I've got a half dozen or so pairs pretty evenly divided between plain (Zegna Couture - don't know name, BB/Peal), captoes (RLPL doublestrap, Lobb Derwent), medallions (another Zegna C., Tramezzas) and split-toes (Lobb Osner, and a rainy day pair of Cole H's.)

In terms of what -- design, fit, comfort? (I probably can't answer since I don't have the Westons and have no idea how they wear.) I really like my Mantellassi's, though.

Andrew's collection is divine and unknowable like the Lord[IMG] [IMG]

VR's collection is sublime and sets a bar up to aspire to[IMG]

LAron, fret not, your shoe collection ain't bad either[IMG]

Thanks rnoldh. But these guys are on a whole different plane from me; they give new meaning to the phrase "live strong."

I'm actually thankful to know that there are others whose obsession exceeds my own. In my circle, I've always been seen as the guy who spends too much on clothes. With these guys on the loose I now feel much closer to normal.

You two didn't have to embarass me by putting me and aportnoy in the same sentence or even the same post. Aportnoy is on a league of his own. And don't forget all hidden dragons amongst us who haven't show their collections yet. Well, Manton just made his porn debut.

Ron, I can see you moving to the dark side at a very rapid pace and becoming one of "these guys."

Your unseen hand is a big factor in this, VR.
