    i'm curious about the insurance.

where do u get insurance for shoes--is it some kind of a comprehensive property insurance? under what circumstances would you be covered--fire? theft? mugging by SF members?

    Lloyd's of London, dude.

Andrew, I am so glad to have you back.[IMG]

Thanks GS, it's good to be back in the fold.

VR...Lloyd's turned me down after they got so badly burned on the Lachey/Simpson marriage.[IMG]

Andrew, where did you get the Clevelands? Shyam does not show them on his site. Were they an ebay purchase or did you find a German source [IMG]

Also, what last are they on?

Nothing so insidious Ed... though the Clevelands were not easy to obtain. As you mentioned, Plal and Pediwear don't carry them. I tried the C&J boutiques in London and Paris and no luck there either. I finally tracked them down on this French shoe store's website:

    http://www.la-botte.com/4DCGI/voir_u...0Jones/Homme/1

And the rest is history. Though they did get lost in the mail and took over 6 weeks to finally arrive.[IMG]

Edit: Sorry I forgot to answer your question re: the last. They are on the 337.

    Andrew,

You are a better man than me. I have a tough time now paying retail prices for shoes given PLAL, VirtualClothesHorse, ebay etc. They are very nice though and definitely worth it but that extra three bills over PLAL's price is a hurdle that I just can overcome [IMG]

These were definitely on the pricey side Ed, no doubt. But I did get the VAT taken off and I really couldn't find anything locally that move me.

I thought the Clevelands were on the 350?

Great shoes by the way, and good to see you back. [IMG]

Me three - when I was in Paris I was told that they (and a couple of other pairs) were on the 350.

The 348 is apparently already passe in Paris...

Yikes! I'll have to check the box/shoe. I could have sworn it said 337, but it sounds like I'm mistaken.[IMG]

I also have the Balmuir II which is on the 350 as is the Portman.

Great to have you back, Andrew. Are the EGs special orders? When can we expect to see the other EGs you have incoming?

Absolutely love the Portman and the Edwardian Cardiff. [IMG] Is Edwardian about 2 shades lighter than dark oak?

May I make a suggestion? Do you think it's better to update your damage report in one thread in stead of starting new thread for each report? I prefer putting all damage reports in one thread, so that all the pictures are in one place in stead of looking for pictures from one thread to another. It's easier to satisfy my porn craving.

P.S. I always put both of my hands visible on the desk when I am looking at porns.

Thanks mussell, much appreciated! Edwardian lands in between chestnut and burnt pine, so yes, about two shades lighter than dark oak on the EG scale.

I do have all the previous posts in a file so I can drop them into a single thread. I'm also planning on doing some shots of the full collection this weekend.

    Seriously.

I tried this once. It was actually a real pain in the rear. Taking them all out of the shoe bags, then trying to remember where I had them all before I took them out - it was quite a task. Not that I'm trying to discourage you or anything.

    I await the impending shoegasm.
