as a noob here on SF i just bought my first pair of good shoes, they are a of darker brown color.

what type of polish/wax/cream should i get? does it need to be a perfect color match to keep the origional color of the shoe?

thanks!

because i use it on da heels and a little on the front. my brown shoes don't get overly dirty so no need to "lather" up the entire shoe. the brown ones look great. i would take some flicks but i am watching the knicks vs nuggets game..
not saying that you should not have black/brown polish. i have been using just black for yrs with no problems...

There are a lot of threads on this.

You should match the colour of the polish as closely as possible if you don't want to affect the colour of the shoe.

Yes, it creates a whitish film in the creases of the shoes over time.
