OK,

I've been looking to get a dressier shoe, but not a "suit shoe." I want a blucher-type shoe with a pointier toe box and that's a bit clunky.

I met a guy from Sweden today that had just the shoes I want, and they looked good with his Acnes, but I forgot to ask him about them. They were a longish, pointy blucher, but a bit rugged looking. The soles were a bit thicker and so were the laces. The laces were a different color too. I've seen similar ones from Varvatos in the past.

Anybody know what I'm talking about and where I could get something like this in the SF Bay Area?

Thanks

I just bought a very similar pair today... AE Seneca in Dark Brown. Looks great with my jeans, cords and khakis. Definitely will be in my regular rotation. I also saw a pair of Alden slipons (I think they were these). I wonder if I should have picked them up...
