Other than a 'standard' light blue shirt, what color shirt would go with a medium olive colored pants? If you have a photo of the shirt with pants that you could post, that would be great. I'm having a lil trouble selecting some shirts that will look good with these pants. Looking for specific shirts rather than just a general 'color' so I can get an idea of the shirts for which I should be shopping.. any help would be appreciated.

Tan shirts, green shirts, pink shirts, lots of options here. Almost a many as a gray pair of pants.

Umm, yeah thanks. When I do a typical happy hour, its with my employees and they are more of beer drinkers at the micro than martini drinkers but thanks for the 'suggestion'

Thanks FC! I laid out the pants with various shirts I wear with gray pants and the combinations look great. Sucks paying a couple hundred dollars for a pair of pants and wearing them only once. Now, which color shoes do I wanna wear with them...

These olive pants made me think of something that happened back in high school. My 10th grade English teacher hired a 'fashion consultant' to select her wardrobe and somehow she was featured in one of those 'feel good' stories on the local news - which made her head swell beyond belief. If you complimented her on her clothes, she would give you 5 or 10 extra credit points for the day. The only 'outfit' I remember her wearing was an olive green jacket and olive green pants - no clue as to the color of her shirt but it was probably green as well. We used to laugh and call her a tank commander because her clothes resembled something the military would wear. She wore that olive outfit at least once a week - but it seemed like she wore it daily.

Not sure what I learned in that class (other than winning the state spelling bee... go me!) but I remember two of her 'statements' that she would always say:

"Alriiiiiiiiiight, I regulate the weather in here!"(interpreted as 'someone turned the temperature up/down and you better keep your damned hands off the thermostat') and 'Alriiiiiiiiiiight, there are too many chiefs and not enough indians in here'.

I was suggested, and tried, a [check] lavender shirt with an olive suit and loved it. The color combo may work for you as well.

Ecru. A pale pink might work, as well. Depends on the tone of the olive.

Ecru (off white, cream, etc.)and lavender for shirts. Burgundy is the best choice for shoes and belt.
