I was at NMLC today and picked up a couple of really nice Zegna shirts for $120 (50% off the lowest marked price). Size 16.5/42 fits me perfectly, just as good as my MTM shirts that I spend on the average $100-$150. The only issue is the collar is a little too tight so I can just have the button moved slightly (i've had this done in a few of my other shirts and it looks fine). I also have had other alterations done, such as shortening the sleeves, taking the sides in, and making the cuffs narrower (by moving the button). All my alterations are done free (parents owns a dry cleaners).

Even if you take the costs of alterations into account, would you prefer to buy luxury shirts at a discount (at NMLC saw a few brioni, charvet, lorenzini, borelli shirts on the 50% off rack and could be have for $60-$80) and have them altered to your liking or end up spending more to get a shirt MTM?
