Shirts in New York city...

Hello -

I will be in NYC this weekend and am in the market for a few new shirts. Ideally I'd be after some fairly thick, quality slim fits - nothing fancy on the collar or cuffs; probably prefer standard collar and single cuffs.

Never been to the city before, but I appreciate that it's on the larger side of large, so if anyone has any suggestions (shops, streets or shopping centres) for quality (mid-price range) shirts, I'd be very grateful.

I have had a sift through the slim shirt thread, but it's got a bit too big to elicit much useful information.

Advanced thanks.

What is mid-priced?

I suggest CEGO. He will cut a slim shirt if you ask, but will do so in a way that keeps you from looking like you belong on muscle beach (or the biggest loser for that matter).

Thanks nmprisons.

Probably around the $100 mark is good, especially given the recent currency slide. Have you had any done at CEGO? I'd be happy with the 5 shirt minimum, but as I'm only there for a weekend I'd be concerned about the follow up if they weren't quite right (London based).

The Brooks Brothers Black Fleece OCBD sounds like it meets your criteria, though not unique to NY.
