Shirt sleeves length; Which side is correct?

Hi all, I'm new here. I just had this shirt made with the MTO tailor, and it comes out well, I guess. As the shirt comes with two buttons at the cuff to adjust the cuff, I am wondering which is the correct length?

On my left side, I buttoned the 2nd button and the sleeve ends right at the crease on my wrist, at the beginning of my hand, I believe.

On my right side, however, I buttoned the 1st button, and the sleeve ends past the crease at the wrist.

Which side is preferable?

Lift your arms parallel to the ground and straight. If the shirt cuff pulls back it’s short. You want it to stay where it is give or take. At least for me.

Bu, in my opinion, its probably gonna be your right arm (the longer side). Your sleeve width can be curtailed a little bit though....

Thank you for your reply. I understand that. The point, though, is that what is an ideal? Does the sleeve on the left side of the picture look too long? or does the sleeve on the right side of the picture too short?

I’m a sucker for classic proportions so I would say your right arm sleeve length is better. When you move about during the day it will ride up due to wrinkles and bends at the elbows and what not. Thus your left arm sleeve is too short.

Both are correct. It's up to your personal preference.

If you can't decide, move the button to the center of where the two buttons are now. Split the difference.

Or, you could use the larger cuff size over your watch if you wear one. The smaller circumference on the other wrist.

If you struggle making a decision there are two objective things to consider but the answer is subjective.
Wear the shirt each way for a day. Snug fit and looser fit. Which feels better to you?
If you wear this shirt under a jacket; which looks better to you?
What is more important to you: the look or the way the cuffs feel on your wrist?

My jacket sleeves end where my wrist meets my hand (same place as the shirt on your left arm). So my shirt sleeves sit just a bit below that (like on your right arm) so I have a little bit of shirt sleeve showing at rest.
